Providing care for a headstrong, increasingly frail 91-year old mother has been my challenge. Finances and distance have been major obstacles, for sure (understatement!). The psychological and emotional pivot from being the “child” to the adult caregiver, however, has been the most gut wrenching. And rewarding. We both have expressed amazement at this strange journey.
